Drive for Haiti

Message from the FJCCSGA Community Service Chair:

My name is Scarlett Jordan, and I am the Student Volunteer Coordinator here at Florida State College at Jacksonville, Kent Campus. As we all know, Haiti is in a crisis, and needs all of the help they are able to get. FJCCSGA is known for changing the lives of college students, so why not take this internationally? All four districts will be attending this year’s State Conference, and let’s make this a memorable one. I am asking all students attending this event to bring at least one item to donate to Haiti. The following items are in the highest need:

  •         Medical Supplies (First Aid Kits, Tylenol, band aids, rubbing alcohol, ointments, etc.)
  •            Toiletry Items (Baby wipes, feminine products, etc.)
  •            Bedding (Blankets, sheets, pillows, etc.)
  •            Tents!!!
  •            Non-perishable Food Items (Canned foods with an easy to open top, rice, beans, etc.)
  •            Water (Gallon jugs)
  •         Plastic Garbage Bags

If you know of any other items, feel free to bring them also. We will collect all of these items at the beginning of the Conference, and on Friday (Feb. 12th) the Pinellas Christian Center will pick them up. The Pinellas Christian Center is working with the Haitian Association Foundation to collect goods and send them to Haiti. Furthermore, if your campus has done any drive, feel free to bring pictures to encourage or give other campuses ideas. Thank you for taking the time to help our friends who are in such dire need.

Looking Forward to Meeting You,

Scarlett Jordan
